Bossard started her journey in the industry of commercial seafood in 1999. In that year she was employed in Murat Aritan's 65-foot halibut boat, which was later transformed into a fishing tender. Bossard married Aritan in 1999, and the pair have come together to fight for their business. Both of them are proponents of conservation as well as profiting from natural resources that are used in the industry of seafood.
